David Griffin's Ted Talk on How Photography Connects Us discussed the idea that photographs have a powerful impact on the photographer and the audience viewing the image. Photos tell a story and connect us to people, places and things that unfamiliar and different to what we know. A photographer can do more than just capture an image. They can express feeling and tell a story. In the talk, Griffin tells anecdotes of different photo expeditions his colleagues went on in which they do more than travel to a place for a picture. Assignment #18 Siskind
Both images ISO 100 F-stop: 3.5 Shutter speed: 1/800 I think that my images are similar to those of Siskind because I tried to keep what was in the frame as simple as possible. His images were not as complex as mine. His images were mostly just white and black, no grey. He uses patterns and simple scenes to create his images.
