Megan Gory Photography

This image represents the different types of things I've inherited. There is the physical items, such as the camera and jewelry. The globe represents the different nationalities I am and how the different cultures have all influenced my life. The globe, along with the metal, pictures and flag, represent the stories I've been told and the lessons I've learned from my grandparents, great grandparents, and the rest of my ancestors.

1/500 f/4.5 ISO 3200 This photograph shows the literal reflection of myself. I've kind of got a look of being unsure, showing that what we see in the mirror is not always what either we want to see or what we think of ourselves. I really like the lighting in the photograph. It has pretty nice rim light. I also like how you can see the back of my head so it actually looks like I am looking in a mirror. If I had done this assignment again, I would have cleaned my mirror, moved the camera so you couldn't see it at all, and asked someone else to take it so I could have gotten the exact angle I wanted. I also should have put on a cute top instead of just wearing a sweatshirt.
